Congratulations on a new season opening to all of the bandy fans throughout Russia!
The moment we have been waiting since last spring has arrived. The new bandy season has opened its' doors. It looks like we have two top contenders for the Russian bandy championship title for now. No need to mention the names, but can any other team break into the winner's circle in 2017-2018? Any new team will be knocking on the championship door? SKA-neftyanik's head coach Mikhail Yuriev has said: watch for Kuzbass and Sibselmash, they are capable of major surprises. Anyways, there were two season openers yesterday. Both of the results had been predictable and there's been no "big time" setbacks, disappointments or outrages so far. Our home town team trounced Rodina, 4-1 and, yet another East Siberian team Baikal-Energia easily beat Start from Nizhny Novgorod. More to come, bandy fans!
