Nominated for the second time, a SKA midfielder has emerged triumphant above all other contenders on the shortlist for the second season in the row. Maksim collected 4611 points from 1341 respondents. After a record number of votes were submitted he saw off competition from two forwards:  Artyom Bondarenko (3022 points) and Pavel Ryazantsev (2333). These three are followed up by Vasiliy Granovskiy (2100) and Yuriy Shardakov (2020).

Seventeen bandy players were nominated for the Prize. Our team's netminder Denis Rysev has become the best rookie of the year, although the title had not been officially voted for, he got 1210 points, the sixth position to boot.

Maksim will have the title officially conferred on him  by receiving the Golden Helmet Prize this coming fall.
